Today's (NOT) high drama entry from the (NOT) exciting world of the recording studio...

Listening back to today's work, we noticed two signature one-bar acoustic guitar phrases with really loud annoying finger-squeaks that we just could not get rid of in post. So we tried punching in just those two phrases, lubricating the strings with "finger-ease", a product that was supposedly designed and marketed specifically for this very purpose (and didn't do a damned thing).  Then we tried everything including Wesson Oil, Lemon Pledge, baby powder, and even my saliva (eeew!), all to no avail.

Finally, I decided to try a different guitar with older strings, which did the trick.  So this song now features a 1977 Guild D-44, except for two signature one-bar phrases, which suddenly (and seamlessly) go back 19 years to a 1958 Guild F-20 as the "stunt-double."  All of which just goes to show our dedication; we'll do anything to get the track, including TIME TRAVEL.

Goddamn, this is positively riveting stuff.  You're on the edge of your chair right now, no doubt...
